Monaco Grand Prix
Schedule, viewing spots, where to stay and VIP packages for F1's most legendary race.
For one weekend each May, Monte-Carlo becomes the most glamorous racetrack on Earth. The Monaco Grand Prix is the race every driver wants to win and every traveller wants to witness — narrow streets, the harbour chicane, superyachts rafted three-deep in Port Hercule.
When it happens
The Grand Prix is traditionally held over the last weekend of May. The 2027 dates are still to be confirmed by the Automobile Club de Monaco; we update this page as soon as the calendar is official.
The best places to watch
- Grandstands along the harbour and Tabac — the classic view of the chicane and swimming-pool section.
- A yacht in Port Hercule — the ultimate vantage point, and the most exclusive.
- Terraces and balconies above the circuit — many hotels and residences sell hospitality packages.
- Casino Square — slower corner, dramatic backdrop, and walkable to everything.
Where to stay
Rooms inside the principality sell out a year ahead and command a premium during race week. Book early, or base yourself a short transfer away in Nice, Èze or Cap-Martin. Use the live map below to compare availability.
