Monaco Grand Prix Travel Guide
Everything a first-timer needs for the Monaco GP — when it runs, how to get tickets, where to watch and how to plan the weekend.

The Monaco Grand Prix is unlike any other race on the calendar — slow, narrow, glamorous and utterly unforgiving. Here's how to plan the trip.
When it runs
The race is traditionally held over the last weekend of May, with practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday. The 2027 dates are to be confirmed by the Automobile Club de Monaco.
Tickets
Grandstand tickets go on sale months ahead and the best sections sell out early. Options range from the harbour and Tabac grandstands to hospitality terraces and the legendary yacht packages in Port Hercule. For a tailored package, request a quote on our Grand Prix page.
Where to watch
- Grandstands for a guaranteed seat and the classic chicane view.
- A yacht in Port Hercule for the ultimate, exclusive vantage point.
- Casino Square for atmosphere and walkability.
Planning the weekend
Book accommodation a year ahead — see Where to Stay for the F1 Grand Prix. If Monaco is full, base in Nice or Èze and take a transfer in. Arrive early each day; the principality is busy and security is tight.
