How to Get from Cannes to Monaco
Cannes to Monaco is a longer but doable day trip — here's the train, the drive and how to make the most of it.

Cannes sits on the western side of the Riviera, so Monaco is a longer hop than from Nice — but it's an easy and rewarding day out.
By train
Direct and connecting regional trains link Cannes to Monaco-Monte-Carlo in roughly 70–90 minutes, usually via Nice. It's the simplest option and drops you in the centre of Monaco.
By car
Driving takes around an hour via the A8 motorway, longer on the scenic corniches. Park in a Monaco public car park — see where to park.
Make a day of it
Because the journey is longer, plan a focused Monaco day: the Casino square, the Rock and lunch by Port Hercule. A private tour from Cannes can combine Monaco with Èze on the way.
